Your credit score is the most important part in your financial records. If you are having trouble getting a bank loan or having a hard time buying a car, you need to get a copy of your credit report and see what’s on it that’s causing you to have this trouble. Your credit is vital in that some employers will check it before hiring you. You won’t be able to buy anything on credit if your credit score is too low.
You may have many different credit scores, but there is only one that really needs to be addressed and that is your FICO score. Most major banks and finance companies will refer to your FICO score as your credit references. If you are looking to find your credit score, make sure that you are getting your FICO score.
You can get your credit score for free by finding a service online and subscribing for a free trial version of their service. Remember also that when you are denied a loan at the bank or you are turned down for that credit card, you are entitled to free copy of your credit report.
Your FICO credit score cannot be gotten for free. As a matter of fact, congress is in legislation about consumers being able to get a free copy of their FICO score once a year since this score has become so important to lenders. When you are turned down for loan and you are given a copy of your credit report, you will have the chance then to get a copy of your credit score then for a fee of $6.95.
This is the cheapest way to obtain your credit score, and you need to make sure that is your FICO score that you are getting.
To obtain any other credit score for free, you can get it online by using a number of companies that will issue you a free copy of your credit report and will include a credit score. This score may not be your FICO score but it will give you an idea of where you stand on the credit score ladder.
Here are a few tips in getting your credit score for free:
• You should research any website that you want to use and make sure they are a reliable site.
• You will have to give your social security number and driver’s license number to get you free credit score so make sure the site you are going to use is secure.
• Print out all the information you receive from the site.
• If you are turned down for a free credit report, you are automatically eligible for a free copy of your credit report and your credit score. These are the three credit bureaus that you can get your credit report and credit score, Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian.
Getting your credit score shouldn’t have to be a hassle. Call any of the three credit bureaus and ask for a copy of your credit report and credit score. They know that information ultimately belongs to you and you should be able to get them for free.
