I’ve been using a credit attorney for 3 months now & I’ve seen good results. Working on building credit is hard. http://www.orchardbank.com & http://www.hsbc.com are great to build credit, but they do have annual fees & fees for EVERYTHING!
Try getting your credit reports for free at http://www.annualcreditreport.com & see if there is anything bad on there. Then I’d suggest using a credit attorney to help dispute items that are negative for you. It’s a great start. I used http://www.ecreditattorney-marketing.com/idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=5030
They only charged $29 a month. Not trying to push anything on you, just trying to help. Good Luck in whatever you decide.

From my personal experience, I have tried doing it myself & it’s very time consuming & hard to keep up with all the documentation from all 3 credit bureaus. I started using the cheapest credit repair company I could find & SO FAR I’m impressed! It only costs $29 a month & you don’t have to sign a contract. I’ve raised my credit score over 110 points since June 2009. If you might be interested, here’s their website:

pls you have to be VERY careful…on two occassions I have fall victim of a scam right in this site…dont reply any answer that claims to be a lender or referral,because you would be made to pay much and have nothing in return.simply report it to yahoo management.if not for a God sent loan officer,my pastor referred me to,it would have being a big lost on my part this christmas..pls contact her now and your smiles shall be restored with her simple loan approval and affordable proceedings..she’s mrs sherry abass and you can reach her via her corporate email at ” cherishloanconsultants@live.com and alternatively add her on your yahoo messenger ” cherishloanconsultants ” for her swift response on a heart to heart discussion. thanks for reading.sorry for spellings error.tell her ms magaret higgins referred you.

hello, i don’t know how old this debt is but if it is older than 7 years on Anything …….fight back. i have learned thru personal experiance the dishonesty and bullying of both the big 3 credit reporting agencies (Experian,Transunion,Equifax) and the debt colection agencies. IF YOUR CREDIT REPORT, AT ANY TIME, REFLECTS WHAT IS NOT TRUE (OR LEGAL)-WRITE THEM A LETTER STATING WHAT IS TRUE.THE SAME GOES FOR THE “DEBT COLLECTORS”. GOD BLESS YOU , 777

Yes, they are all scammers. You can do anything the attorney could do, you just need to educate yourself. And yes, even if something is completely true on your credit report, there are still ways to make things disappear. It just takes some work and patience. Of course, not everything bad can be removed, but there are several ways to attempt to do so.

before you hire a company to clean up your credit. i advise you to do it yourself first. request a copy from all 3 credit agencies and write dispute letters and dispute everything! wait 30-45 days and see what they delete ( you will actually be surprised) everything that wont come off i recommend blue sky credit repair. they are reputable and they are not as expensive as some other companies.

I wouldn’t pay the debt collectors anything. The damage is already done, so put the cash away for a rainy day.
Like others said, seven years to clear negative items from your credit report.

Credit repair companies decrease the amount of money that you have by charging you money and trick you by telling you lies. You cannot do these things yourself. If you charge yourself money, it remains yours, so you do not lose anything; to lose money, you need to have someone else charge you money. If you tell yourself a lie, you will know that it is a lie; to be tricked, you need someone else to lie to you.
